Course Description:  

Why Study United States History? The study of United States History will capture students’ imaginations with the stories of the people who have come together to share, create and transform this Nation we call America.

  

What will we study in United States History 5? We start with first Exploring America talk about early settlements and the 13 colonies continue through the Revolutionary War all the way to the present day 21st Century and everything in between.

 

Grading Based On:

Daily Work, Reports and Projects, Classroom Participation, Quizzes and Tests.

 

Grading Scale:

100-90 = A

89-80 = B

79-70 = C

69-60 = D

59-0   = F

Materials:  Bring a Chromebook(if needed) and a pen or pencil, paper and a folder.

 

CLASSROOM RULES

 

  1. RESPECT ALL TEACHERS AND CLASSMATES.

 

  1. BE IN YOUR SEAT, READY TO WORK WHEN BELL RINGS.

 

  1. BRING REQUIRED BOOKS AND MATERIALS TO CLASS.

 

  1. TURN ASSIGNMENTS IN ON TIME (NO LATE WORK ALLOWED) UNLESS WRITTEN EXCUSE FROM OFFICE HAS BEEN AUTHORIZED.

 

  1. NO POP OR FOOD UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY TEACHER.

 

  1. NO CHEATING. (STUDENTS CAUGHT CHEATING WILL RECEIVE A ZERO AND WILL BE SUBJECT TO OTHER PUNISHMENT)

 

  1. MISBEHAVIOR WHEN SUBSTITUTE TEACHER ARE PRESENT IS PROHIBITED.  (CONSEQUENCES WILL BE SEVERE.)

 

  1. NO CELL PHONES!!!!

 

  1. KEEP ME HAPPY AND THINGS WILL RUN SMOOTHLY!!!!!
