White Earth Scholarship Program

Applications for the White Earth Scholarship Program (WESP) will have a priority deadline of May 31st prior to the next academic year. Please use the links below to download the packet corresponding to your educational plans. 

All applicants must:

  • Be an enrolled member of the MCT White Earth Band
  • Apply at least 8-12 weeks prior to the day classes begin
  • Be accepted to an accredited higher education university or technical college 
  • Apply for Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This is required regardless of your income status! 
  • Have a high school diploma or GED prior to WESP consideration.
  • Currently in good academic standing and not in prior student loan default.

Minnesota Indian Scholarship Program

Minnesota Indian Scholarship Program provides post-secondary financial assistance to eligible Minnesota resident students who are of one-fourth or more Indian ancestry and demonstrate financial need for an award. Scholarships are available to eligible Indian undergraduate students enrolled at least three-quarters of the time and graduate students enrolled at least half-time.
Applicants must be at least one-fourth or more American Indian and a Minnesota resident who is enrolled in an accredited college, university or vocational school in Minnesota, an undergrad student who qualifies for either a Pell or State Grant and demonstrates financial need or a graduate student who demonstrates financial need. $2,000 dollars up to five juniors currently attending a Minnesota public school. Applications can be found online and outside the Counseling Office.


Raise Me

Raise me is a place where students 9 -12 grade can make a portfolio and receive micro-scholarships to some colleges and universities that they are interested in. Not all colleges use Raise me for scholarships but it is also a wonderful tool to compare different colleges your student may be interested in. Feel Free to talk to your students about applying and work with them to create their portfolios. Remember every little bit helps when to comes to money for College.
