TONYA...
Hi! My Name is Tonya Matson. Both my husband Beau and I grew up in the Ulen-Hitterdal area and have 3 Children, Dakota 19, Cole 15 and Gage 13. I graduated from the University of Minnesota Crookston with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Parent Education. I have been teaching ECFE and Preschool for 21 years. Besides coordinating/teaching ECFE/SR at Ulen-Hitterdal, I am also the preschool teacher for the Hawley School District. My family and I currently live south of Lake Park. In my spare time I enjoy watching my kids’ sporting activities, running, reading by the lake, traveling, shopping and entertaining family and friends.

CHRISTINE...
My name is Christine Crompton. I live in Ada with my significant other Jody and our two boys, Jordan (18) and Joseph (9). I graduated from the University of Minnesota, Crookston with a degree in Early Childhood and completed Special Education classes from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Beforeteaching or Ulen-Hitterdal, I taught in a Head Start Preschool Program for 7 years. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors and scrap booking.

Early Childhood Family Education Classes

Early Childhood Family Education is a program for parents and children. The first half of class is for the parent and child together. During this time there will be age appropriate activities set out by the Early Childhood Educator. The second half of the class is for parents only. There will be discussion about parenting issues with our licensed parent
educator while your children play in their classroom with our Early Childhood Educator. A snack is also served!  
All of our evening ECFE classes are Monday’s from 6:00 to 7:30 PM!!
